Logistics Coordinator - carrier coordination (San Jose, CA)

Fernwood Vale Construction is looking for a Logistics Coordinator. The job centres on carrier coordination for change orders, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. What you will do • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Report on on-time performance for change orders. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. What we are looking for • Strong phone and email manner. • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. Nice to have • Knowledge of freight terms. • Experience with change orders. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in San Jose. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
