Logistics Coordinator - carrier coordination (San Diego, CA)

Northwind Linden Foods makes sauces, snacks and prepared meals in San Diego, and we need a Logistics Coordinator to lead our carrier coordination. You would join a small organisation of about 136 people based in San Diego. What you will do • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Report on on-time performance for cold storage. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. What we are looking for • Strong phone and email manner. • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. Nice to have • Experience with cold storage. • Knowledge of freight terms. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in San Diego. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
