Logistics Coordinator - carrier coordination (Sacramento, CA)

Nova Junction Construction is a Sacramento contractor with project managers, trades and support staff, and we need a Logistics Coordinator to lead our carrier coordination. You would join a large organisation of about 595 people based in Sacramento. What you will do • Report on on-time performance for project schedules. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. What we are looking for • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Strong phone and email manner. • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. Nice to have • Experience with project schedules. • Knowledge of freight terms. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Sacramento. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
