Logistics Coordinator - carrier coordination (Sacramento, CA)

Northwind Forge Environmental Services is looking for a Logistics Coordinator. The job centres on carrier coordination for fleet maintenance, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Report on on-time performance for fleet maintenance. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. What we are looking for • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Strong phone and email manner. Nice to have • Knowledge of freight terms. • Experience with fleet maintenance. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Sacramento, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
