Logistics Coordinator - carrier coordination (Sacramento, CA)

Summit Junction Auto Group is looking for a Logistics Coordinator. The job centres on carrier coordination for customer estimates, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 29 people based in Sacramento. What you will do • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Report on on-time performance for customer estimates. What we are looking for • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Strong phone and email manner. • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. Nice to have • Experience with customer estimates. • Knowledge of freight terms. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Sacramento, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
