Logistics Coordinator - carrier coordination (Richmond, VA)

Bluepeak Union Inspection Services provides independent inspection and testing for industry across Richmond. We are hiring a Logistics Coordinator to take on carrier coordination. You would join a small organisation of about 197 people based in Richmond. What you will do • Report on on-time performance for test reports. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. What we are looking for • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Strong phone and email manner. Nice to have • Experience with test reports. • Knowledge of freight terms. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Richmond, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
