Logistics Coordinator - carrier coordination (remote)

Harborlight Fern Inspection Services Group provides independent inspection and testing for industry across Chicago, and we need a Logistics Coordinator to lead our carrier coordination. Technicians travel and report carefully. What you will do • Report on on-time performance for certifications. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. What we are looking for • Strong phone and email manner. • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. Nice to have • Experience with certifications. • Knowledge of freight terms. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Chicago. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
