Logistics Coordinator - carrier coordination (remote)

Summit Meridian Inspection Services provides independent inspection and testing for industry across Wichita. We are hiring a Logistics Coordinator to take on carrier coordination. You would join a small organisation of about 173 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Report on on-time performance for scheduling. What we are looking for • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. • Strong phone and email manner. Nice to have • Knowledge of freight terms. • Experience with scheduling. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Wichita. • We reply to every applicant.
