Logistics Coordinator - carrier coordination (remote)

Northwind Fern Freight coordinates shipments and warehousing around Buffalo, and we need a Logistics Coordinator to lead our carrier coordination. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Report on on-time performance for claims. What we are looking for • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Strong phone and email manner. Nice to have • Experience with claims. • Knowledge of freight terms. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Buffalo. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
