Logistics Coordinator - carrier coordination (remote)

Westbrook Stone Farms grows and distributes produce from farms near Detroit, and we need a Logistics Coordinator to lead our carrier coordination. You would join a small organisation of about 52 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Report on on-time performance for packing house output. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. What we are looking for • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Strong phone and email manner. Nice to have • Knowledge of freight terms. • Experience with packing house output. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Detroit. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
