Logistics Coordinator - carrier coordination (Raleigh, NC)

Ironwood Meridian Inspection Services is looking for a Logistics Coordinator. The job centres on carrier coordination for equipment calibration, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Report on on-time performance for equipment calibration. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. What we are looking for • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. • Strong phone and email manner. • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. Nice to have • Knowledge of freight terms. • Experience with equipment calibration. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Raleigh, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
