Logistics Coordinator - carrier coordination (Providence, RI)

Lumen West Freight moves freight for manufacturers and retailers out of Providence. We are hiring a Logistics Coordinator to take on carrier coordination. Dispatch, drivers and warehouse staff talk to each other constantly. What you will do • Report on on-time performance for claims. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. What we are looking for • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. • Strong phone and email manner. Nice to have • Knowledge of freight terms. • Experience with claims. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Providence. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
