Logistics Coordinator - carrier coordination (Providence, RI)

Cedar Sparrow Freight coordinates shipments and warehousing around Providence. We are hiring a Logistics Coordinator to take on carrier coordination. You would join a small organisation of about 19 people based in Providence. What you will do • Report on on-time performance for loads and lanes. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. What we are looking for • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Strong phone and email manner. • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. Nice to have • Experience with loads and lanes. • Knowledge of freight terms. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Providence. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
