Logistics Coordinator - carrier coordination (Providence, RI)

Cedar Press Group is looking for a Logistics Coordinator. The job centres on carrier coordination for press runs, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Report on on-time performance for press runs. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. What we are looking for • Strong phone and email manner. • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. Nice to have • Experience with press runs. • Knowledge of freight terms. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Providence. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
