Logistics Coordinator - carrier coordination (Portland, OR)

Amberfield Sparrow Freight moves freight for manufacturers and retailers out of Portland. We are hiring a Logistics Coordinator to take on carrier coordination. Dispatch, drivers and warehouse staff talk to each other constantly. What you will do • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Report on on-time performance for proof of delivery. What we are looking for • Strong phone and email manner. • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. Nice to have • Experience with proof of delivery. • Knowledge of freight terms. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Portland. • We reply to every applicant.
