Logistics Coordinator - carrier coordination (Pittsburgh, PA)

Northwind Ashton Freight is looking for a Logistics Coordinator. The job centres on carrier coordination for customer tracking, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 172 people based in Pittsburgh. What you will do • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Report on on-time performance for customer tracking. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. What we are looking for • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Strong phone and email manner. • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. Nice to have • Knowledge of freight terms. • Experience with customer tracking.
