Logistics Coordinator - carrier coordination (Omaha, NE)

Fernwood Drift Foods produces packaged foods at its Omaha plant, and we need a Logistics Coordinator to lead our carrier coordination. Shifts are steady and overtime is planned. What you will do • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Report on on-time performance for production batches. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. What we are looking for • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Strong phone and email manner. • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. Nice to have • Experience with production batches. • Knowledge of freight terms. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Omaha. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
