Logistics Coordinator - carrier coordination (Oakland, CA)

We are growing our team at Ironwood Harbor Freight and adding a Logistics Coordinator whose main responsibility will be carrier coordination. On-time is the promise and we work hard to keep it. What you will do • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Report on on-time performance for dock schedules. What we are looking for • Strong phone and email manner. • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. Nice to have • Knowledge of freight terms. • Experience with dock schedules. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Oakland. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
