Logistics Coordinator - carrier coordination (Oakland, CA)

We are growing our team at Ironwood Meadow Auto Group and adding a Logistics Coordinator whose main responsibility will be carrier coordination. You would join a small organisation of about 88 people based in Oakland. What you will do • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Report on on-time performance for supplier deliveries. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. What we are looking for • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. • Strong phone and email manner. Nice to have • Experience with supplier deliveries. • Knowledge of freight terms. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Oakland. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
