Logistics Coordinator - carrier coordination (New Orleans, LA)

Rivermark Inspection Services tests and certifies buildings, pipelines and equipment around New Orleans. We are hiring a Logistics Coordinator to take on carrier coordination. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Report on on-time performance for scheduling. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. What we are looking for • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Strong phone and email manner. Nice to have • Knowledge of freight terms. • Experience with scheduling. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • On site in New Orleans. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
