Logistics Coordinator - carrier coordination (New Orleans, LA)

Fernwood Oak Farms grows and distributes produce from farms near New Orleans, and we need a Logistics Coordinator to lead our carrier coordination. We are a family-run business at heart. What you will do • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Report on on-time performance for packing house output. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. What we are looking for • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. • Strong phone and email manner. Nice to have • Experience with packing house output. • Knowledge of freight terms. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • On site in New Orleans. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
