Logistics Coordinator - carrier coordination (New Orleans, LA)

Northwind Harbor Environmental Services Partners serves homes and businesses with collection and disposal in New Orleans. We are hiring a Logistics Coordinator to take on carrier coordination. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Report on on-time performance for weigh tickets. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. What we are looking for • Strong phone and email manner. • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. Nice to have • Knowledge of freight terms. • Experience with weigh tickets. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in New Orleans, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
