Logistics Coordinator - carrier coordination (New Orleans, LA)

Harborlight Fern Farms Group is an agricultural business based around New Orleans, and we need a Logistics Coordinator to lead our carrier coordination. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in New Orleans. What you will do • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Report on on-time performance for packing house output. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. What we are looking for • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Strong phone and email manner. • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. Nice to have • Knowledge of freight terms. • Experience with packing house output. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in New Orleans. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
