Logistics Coordinator - carrier coordination (Nashville, TN)

Summit Meridian Freight coordinates shipments and warehousing around Nashville, and we need a Logistics Coordinator to lead our carrier coordination. You would join a small organisation of about 116 people based in Nashville. What you will do • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Report on on-time performance for loads and lanes. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. What we are looking for • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. • Strong phone and email manner. Nice to have • Knowledge of freight terms. • Experience with loads and lanes. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Nashville. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
