Logistics Coordinator - carrier coordination (Madison, WI)

We are growing our team at Fernwood Rook Construction and adding a Logistics Coordinator whose main responsibility will be carrier coordination. Good people move up quickly. What you will do • Report on on-time performance for project schedules. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. What we are looking for • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Strong phone and email manner. Nice to have • Experience with project schedules. • Knowledge of freight terms. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Madison. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
