Logistics Coordinator - carrier coordination (Madison, WI)

Northwind West Freight Partners is looking for a Logistics Coordinator. The job centres on carrier coordination for carrier rates, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Dispatch, drivers and warehouse staff talk to each other constantly. What you will do • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Report on on-time performance for carrier rates. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. What we are looking for • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Strong phone and email manner. • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. Nice to have • Knowledge of freight terms. • Experience with carrier rates. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Madison. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
