Logistics Coordinator - carrier coordination (Louisville, KY)

Ironwood Oak Inspection Services tests and certifies buildings, pipelines and equipment around Louisville. We are hiring a Logistics Coordinator to take on carrier coordination. You would join a large organisation of about 964 people based in Louisville. What you will do • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Report on on-time performance for test reports. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. What we are looking for • Strong phone and email manner. • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. Nice to have • Knowledge of freight terms. • Experience with test reports. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Louisville, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
