Logistics Coordinator - carrier coordination (Jacksonville, FL)

Northwind Clear Freight moves freight for manufacturers and retailers out of Jacksonville. We are hiring a Logistics Coordinator to take on carrier coordination. You would join a small organisation of about 186 people based in Jacksonville. What you will do • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Report on on-time performance for proof of delivery. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. What we are looking for • Strong phone and email manner. • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. Nice to have • Experience with proof of delivery. • Knowledge of freight terms. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Jacksonville. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
