Logistics Coordinator - carrier coordination (Indianapolis, IN)

Lumen Maple Manufacturing is looking for a Logistics Coordinator. The job centres on carrier coordination for machine downtime, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. What you will do • Report on on-time performance for machine downtime. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. What we are looking for • Strong phone and email manner. • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. Nice to have • Experience with machine downtime. • Knowledge of freight terms. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Indianapolis, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
