Logistics Coordinator - carrier coordination (Indianapolis, IN)

Northwind Fox Press produces print and digital publications in Indianapolis. We are hiring a Logistics Coordinator to take on carrier coordination. You would join a small organisation of about 139 people based in Indianapolis. What you will do • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Report on on-time performance for paper stock. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. What we are looking for • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Strong phone and email manner. Nice to have • Experience with paper stock. • Knowledge of freight terms. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Indianapolis. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
