Logistics Coordinator - carrier coordination (Houston, TX)

Fernwood Cross Foods makes sauces, snacks and prepared meals in Houston, and we need a Logistics Coordinator to lead our carrier coordination. You would join a large organisation of about 369 people based in Houston. What you will do • Report on on-time performance for sanitation schedules. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. What we are looking for • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Strong phone and email manner. Nice to have • Experience with sanitation schedules. • Knowledge of freight terms. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Houston. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
