Logistics Coordinator - carrier coordination (Houston, TX)

Northwind Rowan Farms is looking for a Logistics Coordinator. The job centres on carrier coordination for cold storage, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 126 people based in Houston. What you will do • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Report on on-time performance for cold storage. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. What we are looking for • Strong phone and email manner. • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. Nice to have • Knowledge of freight terms. • Experience with cold storage. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Houston, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
