Logistics Coordinator - carrier coordination (Hartford, CT)

Northwind West Environmental Services is looking for a Logistics Coordinator. The job centres on carrier coordination for service complaints, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Early starts and steady work; we look after our drivers. What you will do • Report on on-time performance for service complaints. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. What we are looking for • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Strong phone and email manner. Nice to have • Experience with service complaints. • Knowledge of freight terms. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Hartford. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
