Logistics Coordinator - carrier coordination (Hartford, CT)

We are growing our team at Greenridge Birch Freight and adding a Logistics Coordinator whose main responsibility will be carrier coordination. We reward reliability. What you will do • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Report on on-time performance for dock schedules. What we are looking for • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. • Strong phone and email manner. Nice to have • Experience with dock schedules. • Knowledge of freight terms. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Hartford. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
