Logistics Coordinator - carrier coordination (Detroit, MI)

Westbrook Birch Telecom builds and runs fibre and wireless networks in the Detroit area. We are hiring a Logistics Coordinator to take on carrier coordination. Technicians and office staff share information daily. What you will do • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Report on on-time performance for customer tickets. What we are looking for • Strong phone and email manner. • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. Nice to have • Experience with customer tickets. • Knowledge of freight terms. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Detroit, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
