Logistics Coordinator - carrier coordination (Detroit, MI)

Foxglove North Manufacturing makes precision components in Detroit. We are hiring a Logistics Coordinator to take on carrier coordination. Many of our supervisors started on the floor. What you will do • Report on on-time performance for scrap and rework. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. What we are looking for • Strong phone and email manner. • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. Nice to have • Knowledge of freight terms. • Experience with scrap and rework. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Detroit, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
