Logistics Coordinator - carrier coordination (Des Moines, IA)

Silverline Birch Environmental Services collects and processes waste and recycling around Des Moines. We are hiring a Logistics Coordinator to take on carrier coordination. We take pride in clean streets. What you will do • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Report on on-time performance for recycling loads. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. What we are looking for • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Strong phone and email manner. Nice to have • Knowledge of freight terms. • Experience with recycling loads. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Des Moines, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
