Logistics Coordinator - carrier coordination (Chicago, IL)

Bluepeak Harbor Telecom builds and runs fibre and wireless networks in the Chicago area. We are hiring a Logistics Coordinator to take on carrier coordination. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Report on on-time performance for outage reports. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. What we are looking for • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. • Strong phone and email manner. Nice to have • Experience with outage reports. • Knowledge of freight terms. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Chicago, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
