Logistics Coordinator - carrier coordination (Chicago, IL)

We are growing our team at Cedar Harbor Farms and adding a Logistics Coordinator whose main responsibility will be carrier coordination. We are a family-run business at heart. What you will do • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Report on on-time performance for cold storage. What we are looking for • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. • Strong phone and email manner. Nice to have • Knowledge of freight terms. • Experience with cold storage. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Chicago. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
