Logistics Coordinator - carrier coordination (Boston, MA)

We are growing our team at Westbrook Junction Auto Group and adding a Logistics Coordinator whose main responsibility will be carrier coordination. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Report on on-time performance for supplier deliveries. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. What we are looking for • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. • Strong phone and email manner. • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. Nice to have • Experience with supplier deliveries. • Knowledge of freight terms. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Boston. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
