Logistics Coordinator - carrier coordination (Birmingham, AL)

We are growing our team at Bright Fern Freight and adding a Logistics Coordinator whose main responsibility will be carrier coordination. On-time is the promise and we work hard to keep it. What you will do • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Report on on-time performance for customer tracking. What we are looking for • Strong phone and email manner. • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. Nice to have • Experience with customer tracking. • Knowledge of freight terms. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Birmingham. • We reply to every applicant.
