Logistics Coordinator - carrier coordination (Birmingham, AL)

Cedar Wren Freight Partners is a Birmingham logistics company with trucks, warehouses and dispatch. We are hiring a Logistics Coordinator to take on carrier coordination. Dispatch, drivers and warehouse staff talk to each other constantly. What you will do • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Report on on-time performance for dock schedules. What we are looking for • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. • Strong phone and email manner. Nice to have • Experience with dock schedules. • Knowledge of freight terms. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Birmingham, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
