Logistics Coordinator - carrier coordination (Birmingham, AL)

We are growing our team at Bright Keystone Freight Group and adding a Logistics Coordinator whose main responsibility will be carrier coordination. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Birmingham. What you will do • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Report on on-time performance for proof of delivery. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. What we are looking for • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. • Strong phone and email manner. • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. Nice to have • Experience with proof of delivery. • Knowledge of freight terms. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Birmingham. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
