Logistics Coordinator - carrier coordination (Birmingham, AL)

Northwind Junction Auto Group operates automotive service and parts businesses around Birmingham, and we need a Logistics Coordinator to lead our carrier coordination. Customers come back because we explain what they need and what they do not. What you will do • Report on on-time performance for service appointments. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. What we are looking for • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Strong phone and email manner. • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. Nice to have • Experience with service appointments. • Knowledge of freight terms. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Birmingham. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
