Logistics Coordinator - carrier coordination (Birmingham, AL)

Greenridge Bridge Farms grows and distributes produce from farms near Birmingham. We are hiring a Logistics Coordinator to take on carrier coordination. Weather sets the schedule, and we plan around it. What you will do • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Report on on-time performance for grower contracts. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. What we are looking for • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. • Strong phone and email manner. Nice to have • Experience with grower contracts. • Knowledge of freight terms. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Birmingham. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
