Logistics Coordinator - carrier coordination (Birmingham, AL)

Rivermark Cross Inspection Services tests and certifies buildings, pipelines and equipment around Birmingham, and we need a Logistics Coordinator to lead our carrier coordination. Training and certification are paid for. What you will do • Report on on-time performance for client sites. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. What we are looking for • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. • Strong phone and email manner. Nice to have • Experience with client sites. • Knowledge of freight terms. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Birmingham, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
