Logistics Coordinator - carrier coordination (Baltimore, MD)

We are growing our team at Summit Meadow Press and adding a Logistics Coordinator whose main responsibility will be carrier coordination. Many of us have been here for ten years or more. What you will do • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Report on on-time performance for press runs. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. What we are looking for • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Strong phone and email manner. Nice to have • Knowledge of freight terms. • Experience with press runs. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Baltimore. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
