Logistics Coordinator - carrier coordination (Anchorage, AK)

Bright Keystone Freight moves freight for manufacturers and retailers out of Anchorage. We are hiring a Logistics Coordinator to take on carrier coordination. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Report on on-time performance for loads and lanes. What we are looking for • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Strong phone and email manner. • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. Nice to have • Knowledge of freight terms. • Experience with loads and lanes. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Anchorage. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
