Logistics Coordinator - carrier coordination (Anchorage, AK)

Redstone Timber Construction delivers building projects for owners across the Anchorage region. We are hiring a Logistics Coordinator to take on carrier coordination. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Anchorage. What you will do • Report on on-time performance for materials orders. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. What we are looking for • Strong phone and email manner. • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. Nice to have • Experience with materials orders. • Knowledge of freight terms. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Anchorage, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
