IT Support Specialist - user accounts and access (San Jose, CA)

Nova Union Inspection Services tests and certifies buildings, pipelines and equipment around San Jose. We are hiring an IT Support Specialist to take on user accounts and access. You would join a large organisation of about 514 people based in San Jose. What you will do • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. What we are looking for • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. Nice to have • Experience with test reports. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in San Jose, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
